First and foremost, Happy Valentine's Day! Secondly, thank you so much for visiting my updated page. I will do my best to keep you all updated with things I have going on with the podcast. I appreciate every time you listen to an episode. I truly do this for you.
As I'm hunkering down during this snow blizzard, I started sifting through my social media feed mindlessly. My intent was to go on there and look for inspiration to write about something on my first blog post. 45 minutes later, I forgot all about my reason for going on there. Shameful.
Y'all, i'll be honest. I'm getting a little tired of social media and the craziness involved in it. I remember talking with my good friend, Angie Mitchell from The Sincerely Angie Podcast, about this on one of my previous episodes. We don't own the content on any of those platforms. As soon as more and more people understand this, the more cognizant we will be with where we should place our content. I heard someone say once before we should use social media as a commercial for our website. The true traffic should be on your website. That way you can control the narrative the way you choose.
It's all about intellectual properties, people. Owning your shit and being unapologetic about it.
So let's start to control our content.
I love you all,
